BorderFX 1.7.2

This update improves stability, and includes the following changes:

  • Improved stability when adding watermarks
  • Fixed an issue with the image watermark always scaling to 100%
  • Added offset adjustments to the image watermarks
  • Added support for Adobe RGB and ProPhoto RGB color space when exporting 16-bit TIFF files

There still appears to be an issue when exporting images using Mac OS X 10.7.5 and BorderFX for Aperture, the images are always exported to the ~/Pictures folder. This is not the case on Mac OS X 10.8.2, using Aperture 3.4.2, images exported for BorderFX are saved in the selected folder. I have logged a bug with Apple, and hopefully this gets fixed soon.

I use Aperture 3.4.3. Both BorderFX 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 sometimes crash Aperture during export. Not every time and no discernible pattern. Running OS X 10.8.2. Happens when saving into ~/Pictures and to external drive. Haven't tested saving to internal drive folder other than ~/Pictures, but can't imagine the location makes a difference.

I still have the "image watermark always scaling to 100%" bug when i choose an image size not like the original but work well when i use original size.

An amazing Apple Aperture plugin and have been using and supporting it for years. Noticed with latest release (1.7.2-384) on OSX 10.8.2 with Aperture 3.4.3 with the Watermark Image Scaling that it always defaults back to 100% for 1+ images in list and does not remember scaling value in a Preset. Also notice that even if only 1 watermark image used, when exporting Presets will also export previous images that I have tried but not using at all. Great product still!!!
BTW: text watermark works fine

Not even showing up in Pictures for me? No where is the save saved …

So completely unusuable.

10.7.5 and 3.4.3 for me.

Thanks and best, Mark

It looks like the "watermark scale to 100%" issue still exists there. Any clue to fix it manually? I compared the exported preset, the value is logged but seems the plugin doesn't load it correctly.

I found more issues related to image watermark.
I set the output image fit into 1920x1200. And set the image watermark scale ratio to 25%, offset 0,0 to bottom right.
Then I found an interesting issue that it seems the watermark it scaled according to the size before fitted. So the watermark is larger than I expected, and the watermark is not aligned to the bottom right corner of the photo. Actually half of the watermark is fall outside of the photo.

Issue is more obvious when I try to place the watermark to top left corner, the whole watermark is placed outside of the photo, so I can barely see it.

Hope it can be fixed ASAP, since it totally blocks me from generating the output files.
